PERSONAL KIT LIST - WINTER
Winter Kit will be carried by pers as of the second week of October or the first snow fall; which ever comes first.
1. WORN ON THE SOLDIER:
a. ID discs;
b. Toque; (as ordered)
c. Thermal Underwear;
d. Underwear;
e. Socks;
f. Trousers and combat shirt;
g. Belt;
h. Gerber multi-tool; (worn on belt)
i. Watch
j. CADPAT gloves;
k. Combat Scarf;
l. Mukluks;
m. Combat Jacket or Parka;
n. Polar Fleece; (as req.) and
o. Wind Pants; (as req.)
2. CARRIED BY THE SOLDIER: Same as summer.
(1) Winter Cam cover for Kevlar Helmet;
(2) Thermal Water Bottle replaces either the 2 Quart Water Bottle or 1-quart water bottle.
Rucksack Contents
(1) Top Pouch – Same as summer, except:
(a) Parka Whites; (Top and Bottom) and
(2) Main Compartment – Same as summer, except:
(a) Duffle Socks;
(b) Mesh Insoles;
(c) Felt Insoles;
(a) Thermal Underwear;
(b) Polar Fleece Shirt; and
(c) Polar Fleece Pants.
(3) Left Pocket
(a) Arctic Mitts
(4) Center Pocket.
(a) 50’ X 550 cord.
(a) Green mortar gloves.
(5) Right Pocket
(a) White Toque;
(b) Thermal Headwear.
(6) Valise – Same as summer, except:
(a) Sleeping bag inner and outer
5. Follow on Kit - Kit Bag – Same as summer, except:
(a) Polar Fleece Shirt;
(b) Polar Fleece Pants;
(c) Thermal Underwear; and
(d) Combat Jacket or Parka. (if not worn)
