Good afternoon,
For those of you who might not yet know it there is a ball hockey league called the Montreal Military Hockey League (MMHL) where each regiment has a team competing for the much coveted MMHL cup. The last 2 years the RMR has won this cup and we are currently on the fringe of repeating it for the third time in as many years.
The RMR hockey team has a reputation for being a ''Crash and Bang'' kind of team but the RMR itself has a reputation for having a hostile home crowd, once compared to soccer hooligans.
Last Thursday the RMR beat the FMR 6-4 to take the lead in a best of 3 series. This Thursday the RMR looks to resume hostilities as we play the FMR on their own home turf. We are looking to bring the RMR faithful and rowdy to their backyard to support and encourage our team as it looks for three-peat and win the MMHL Cup.
All are encouraged and welcome to attend. We ask to bring whatever body paint, noise makers and RMR paraphernalia you like to make as much noise as possible.
The battle plan is to meet at the RMR on Thursday 9 Apr 09 for 1800 (that's 6pm). We are hoping we can get the Sgts mess open for some refreshments. We will then convoy together to the FMR where we will instil the fear of God into them. When all is said and done, we plan to return to our beloved regiment to resume with the festivities and drink from the Cup.
