Trades
The Royal Montreal Regiment offers 3 different trades, namely
Infantry Soldier,
Infantry Officer, and
Resource Management Clerk.
Infantry soldiers, or non-comissioned members (NCM), are front-line forces. Taskings range from things like FIBUA (Fighting in Built Up Areas), jungle warfare, base defense, the capture of various objectives, and the list goes on. As an Infantry soldier, you will face various different challenges. Furthermore as you advance in the ranks, you will learn to effectively lead troops to battle. Infantry officers are in charge of the troops. As an infantry officer, you will learn to manage, plan and most importantly, lead your troops to battle. You will be trained in the art of leadership, tactics and other skills needed to effectively command a group of soldiers. For more information visit our Infantry Officer page.
Clerks take care of the regiment's administration. Finance, regulations and other administrative tasks are a necessary and important part of any Armed force. As a Clerk you will learn the various administration tasks.
