34 Brigade Change of Command

Montreal, 09 June 2014 – A traditional change of command ceremony was held at the Cote-des-Neiges armoury on Saturday afternoon for the 34 Canadian Brigade Group (34 CBG).  Presided over by the commander of 2 Division, Brigadier-General Lanthier, command of 34 GBC was handed from Colonel De Sousa to Colonel Chafaï .  De Sousa was subsequently promoted to Brigadier-General and will be assuming responsibilities as the Deputy Commander of 2 Division.

Numerous RMR’s were on parade as part of the ceremony, and later that evening in Laval a farewell dinner was held in honour of BGen De Sousa with 14 RMR’s in attendance.

The RMR Foundation welcomes Colonel Chafaï and wishes both him and Brigadier-General De Sousa every success in their new roles.
