Otis Grant guest of honour for Junior Ranks Mess Dinner

Westmount, Quebec – 07 May 2023: On Friday 05 May 2023 the RMR’s Junior Ranks Club held an off-site mess dinner hosted at the Beaconsfield Golf Club, with Mr. Otis Grant as their guest of honour.

Otis Grant is a former professional boxer who achieved significant success in his career. Born on February 13, 1967, in Montreal, Mr. Grant started his professional boxing career in 1986 and quickly gained recognition as a skilled and talented fighter. He competed in the middleweight and super middleweight divisions, showcasing his speed, agility, and technical prowess inside the ring.

One of Mr. Grant’s most notable achievements came in 1997 when he won the WBO middleweight title by defeating Ryan Rhodes. He successfully defended the title three times before losing it to Keith Holmes in 1998.  His professional record stands at an impressive 38 wins, 3 losses, and 1 draw, with 17 victories coming by way of knockout.

Mr. Grant retired from professional boxing in 2004, leaving a lasting impact on the sport. In addition to his achievements in the ring, he is known for his charitable work and community involvement, using his platform to make a positive difference. Today, Otis Grant’s legacy lives on as he continues to inspire aspiring boxers and fans around the world with his remarkable career and contributions to the sport.

Together with Howard Grant, an Olympic boxer and trainer, they have trained numerous RMR soldiers in their gym, aptly named “Grant Brothers Boxing” in Dorval.
