Pointe-Claire, 31 July 2014 – The Commanding Officer of 2806 Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps Pointe-Claire (RMR), Captain Sybil Brooker, was a guest on the Tommy Schnurmacher show on CJAD 800 AM today, as part of his “Cool People, Cool Jobs”.  Captain Brooker demystified the Cadet movement for Tommy’s listeners and explained the benefits of being a Cadet for Canadian youth.  Tommy was most impressed.

Authorised and sponsored by the City of Pointe Claire, Quebec, the City Council adopted the resolution on September 12th, 1966 and the Cadet Corps was formed on October 1st 1966, followed by its affiliation with The Royal Montreal Regiment the same day.  Many members of the Regiment got their start with 2806, bravo Captain Brooker for a job well done.
