23 Mar 15THIS DAY IN RMR HISTORY: “Canadian Press Despatch. Montreal, March 23.  Lieut.-Col. F.S. Meighen of the Royal Montreal Regiment (French Canadians) has written to Mr. L.J. Tarte of La Patrie giving warm praise to Privates J. Martin, V. Hardy, E. Deslongchamps, G. Valin and “Ad” Lacroix, of No. 4 Company, which is composed of members of the 65th Regiment of Montreal, for daring work in trying to capture a German ‘listening post.’”     [2]
