RMR Marches in 2023 Kahnawake Remembrance Day Parade

Westmount, Quebec – 13 November 2023: The RMR Association (Branch 14) of the Royal Canadian Legion, were accompanied by the RMR’s Command Team, Lieutenant-Colonel Maciej Jonasz and Master-Warrant Officer James Quesnel, as they marched in the annual Kahnawake Remembrance Day parade on Saturday 04 November 2023.

This unique ceremony gathers veterans from both the US and Canada, as well as serving members ofrom both countries. Organized and led by the Royal Canadian Legion Mohawk Branch 219 of Kahnawake, the parade  proceeds to the Kahnawake cenotaph prior to the start of the service.

The Kahnawake Remembrance Day Parade organized by the Royal Canadian Legion Mohawk Branch 219 is a deeply significant and respectful event held in honor of veterans and fallen soldiers. Following the ceremony, the parade proceeds through the streets of Kahnawake, led by veterans and military representatives, accompanied by marching bands and community organizations. The streets are lined with spectators, many wearing red poppies as a symbol of remembrance, showing their support and gratitude for the sacrifices made by the brave individuals who served their nations.
