RMR Virtual Levée: 01 January 2021
Westmount, Quebec – 27 December 2020: Due to the restrictions on gatherings imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the members of The Royal Montreal Regiment will not be able to hold their annual Levée Day. Instead, the Honorary Colonel will host a virtual reunion event, where all are welcome to exchange best wishes for the New Year.
Virtual Levée: 01 January 2021 from 11h00 – 12h00 EST.
Marking the New Year with a Levée is an important – and uniquely Canadian – custom that helps us bond together as a Regimental family. While we must forego the pleasure of greeting each other in person, we can still gather virtually and exchange best wishes for the New Year.
Attire: Normally Levée is a formal affair, however as this is a pandemic year, please do your best to be respectable on camera, at least from the waist up.
Refreshments: BYOB, however if you would like to attempt to make the traditional RMR Moose Milk, the official recipe as handed down from RQMS Harold Goldstein, a WW2 veteran and the officers’ mess steward for nearly 30-years, is available by clicking the registration link.
If you would like to register for the event, please fill out the form here and joining instructions will be emailed to you: https://forms.gle/vPrXxe1BUn9gRPYe7
Hoping that you can join us and please spread the word to others that may be interested in joining us. Let us hope that this will the be the first and last time that we have to host a virtual Levée day!
