Master-Corporal Denver-Simard Recognized for Dedication, Instruction, and Leadership

Westmount, Quebec – 23 October 2025: During a CO’s Parade held at the armoury, Master-Corporal Trevor Denver-Simard received a Unit Commendation for Dedication, Instruction, and Leadership. The text of his Commendation scroll reads:
Corporal Denver-Simard consistently exceeded expectations throughout the training year. While acting as 2IC of 2 Section, Depot Platoon, they leveraged their Regular Force experience to deliver strong instruction on infantry tactics, weapons handling, marksmanship, and general knowledge. They also contributed to Bravo Company’s vital Mortar Detachment during the unit’s “Iron Boot” exercise. Despite limited leadership experience, they excelled in multiple roles and responsibilities. Corporal Denver-Simard embodies the ethos of both The RMR and Canadian Armed Forces.
He was subsequently promoted on the same parade, receiving his appointment to the rank of Master-Corporal from the Commanding Officer of the RMR, Lieutenant-Colonel Langlois.
