Museum Visitor of the Year Award for 2025
Westmount, Quebec – 24 January 2026: Mr. Ron Zemancik, the RMR Museum Curator, is pleased to announce the winner of this year’s Visitor of the Year: Corporal William Kzsonek. In recognition of his solid support in promoting the RMR’s heritage and in appreciation of his continued assistance to the Regimental Museum staff.
His citation reads:
“Corporal Ksonzek’s dedication and enthusiasm have made a lasting impact on the museum. A regular visitor every Tuesday, he shows genuine interest in new exhibits and the collection. He was part of the team that photographed the artifacts for the 100th Anniversary book. Always bringing new ideas for the Kit Shop. His design was selected for last year’s t-shirt. His ongoing engagement and initiative exemplify outstanding commitment and support.”
The Royal Montreal Regiment’s museum serves as a repository of historical artifacts, documents, and memorabilia related to the regiment’s rich history and military heritage. Located within the unit’s armoury on Ste-Catherine street in Westmount, the museum has several key functions:

The museum holds some of the regiment’s most sacred objects, including the Book of the Fallen, which lists the name of every RMR soldier killed in action.
