Overcoming Obstacles at Farnham

Westmount, Quebec – 27 October 2025: On Saturday, 25 October 2025, the recruits of the RMR Depot Platoon joined members of B Company for a day of challenge and camaraderie at the Gladius Obstacle Course on CFB Farnham.
The exercise tested both grit and teamwork as participants tackled the demanding course, practiced fieldcraft skills such as packing and setting up improvised shelters, and capped the day off with a ruck march. The goal was simple but meaningful: to build fighting spirit, strengthen bonds, and remind everyone that obstacles—whether on the course or in life—are meant to be overcome together.

For the recruits, it was a chance to learn the value of teamwork and perseverance under pressure. For the seasoned soldiers of B Company, it was an opportunity to mentor the next generation, sharing lessons hard-won through training and service.
And, of course, no RMR training day would be complete without a bit of friendly competition. A six-member B Coy team raced head-to-head against six of the best from Depot. The result? B Coy stormed across the finish line with a winning time of 10:36, while Depot followed close behind at 12:36—proof that there’s always something to strive for on the next run.
