Sharing Knowledge: The 2025 Canadian Reserve Force Academic Symposium

Thanks to Lieutenant-Colonel (ret’d) George Siket for passing this along to share among the RMR Family.

Westmount, Quebec – 21 September 2025: The Canadian Armed Forces will host the Reserve Force Academic Symposium 2025 on Friday–Saturday, October 24–25, 2025, delivered in a hybrid format (MS Teams + in-person at Canadian Forces College, 215 Yonge Blvd, North York). Daily sessions run 0830–1630, and the listed dress is Business Casual or No. 3B for military members.

The Theme Same Track, Different Path: Reserve Force Readiness—with a focus on mobilization & total defence, Reserve transformation, and future-oriented approaches to Reserve development.

The RMR’s reality—balancing civilian careers with military service, integrating training with Regular Force partners, and sustaining readiness inside 34 CBG—sits at the heart of this year’s program. Notably, the agenda includes LCol Sébastien Campagna (Deputy Commander, 34 CBG) on “Restructuring the Reserves for the Army’s Operational Success” (Day 2), a session directly relevant to how our Brigade—and by extension, the RMR—organizes for success.
