Westmount, Quebec – 25 July 2016: In a ceremony held in Ottawa on 13 July 2016, Colonel George Petrolekas, MSM, CD, (Commanding Officer of the RMR 1999-2002) was awarded the Canadian Army Commander’s commendation. The citation reads:

In recognition of his contribution to the Canadian Army’s program from july 2013 to July 2016. Colonel Petrolekas has made a signifcant contribution to the development of the Canadian Army’s mission and vision through his strategic advice and special engagements. A grand strategic thinker and operator, Colonel Petrolekas’ knowledge of political systems coupled with his international connections has enabled the Commander of the Canadian Army to access partnerships and emerging capabilities that would have otherwise gone unrealized. Colonel Petrolekas’ niche contributions to the Canadian Army are unprecedented and unparalleled.

Bravo, Colonel – another great example of the RMR setting the standard!
