Command Team Coin for Comrade Sue Guerin

Westmount, Quebec – 04 December 2024: During the Battalion Review parade held after the Westmount Remembrance service on 10 November 2024, Comrade Sue Guerin, President of Branch 14 (RMR Association) of the Royal Canadian Legion, was awarded the RMR’s Command Team Coin. A former Warrant Officer in the RMR, she has provided exemplary service to the RMR for many decades and

She got her start with the RMR Family as an Air Cadet with Number 1 Squadron (Westmount), and throughout her nearly 20-years of active service in the RMR, she performed a large variety of interesting tasks and activities, ranging from serving in a NATO headquarters in Germany at the height of the Cold War (1985), to rappelling from helicopters with the PPCLI in Wainwright, AB. 2024 marks 45-years that she has been serving the RMR Family, and you can read a profile about Sue Guerin here.

Her recognition was duly summarized by the RSM:

“Outstanding work as Comrade President of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 14 affiliated to Royal Montreal Regiment (RMR.) Her voluntary efforts for the annual poppy campaign had raised more than $385,000 over the last 11 years including partial donations to care packages to overseas deployed members, the purchase of gym equipment and other soldier welfare initiatives benefiting RMR members, instilling pride in their service to Canada.”
