Comrade Sun’s contributions to the RMR and Branch 14 (RMR Association) were both meaningful and enduring. A steadfast supporter of the Regiment, he played a key role in securing the Freedom of the City from Hampstead for the RMR in 2008—a proud moment in our collective history. In recognition of his years of commitment to the Legion, he was recently presented with his 15-year service pin from Branch 14 (RMR Association).

Richard was an active and enthusiastic presence at social events, a regular participant in parades, and a devoted volunteer for the annual Poppy Campaign. His cheerful demeanor, reliability, and dedication to remembrance will be remembered by all who served beside him.

Members of the Regiment and Branch 14 are encouraged to attend the services in Legion attire, if available. A wreath adorned with poppies will be laid in his honour.

We remember Comrade Richard Sun for his quiet leadership, consistent service, and unwavering support to both the Branch and the Regiment. He will be deeply missed.

Lest We Forget.

A great loss to his family and a great loss to the RMR and the RMR Association Br14. When working together for the RMR Centennial or on the initial planning and formulation of the RMR Association Bursary Program he was always positive and enthusiastic. With Richard it was always, “we will find a way” to realise our objectives. A great friend of the Regiment and Br14. Missed but never forgotten. Rest in Peace Comrade Richard.
