Westmount, Quebec – 18 August 2022: At the Regiment’s battalion review parade held on 15 May 2022, Pro-Mayor Leon Elfassy of Hampstead presented The Hampstead Trophy for Community Service to Captain Rici Be. This award is presented annually to the member of the Regiment who demonstrates an exceptional dedication to civic duty.

The Hampstead Trophy was presented to Captain Rici Be for his exceptional community service in having volunteered as part of his civilian ministry (Canadian Baptist Ministry) to serve as part of a humanitarian mission in Roumania to help the millions of Displaced Persons, Evacuees, and Refugees fleeing the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The trophy was donated to the RMR in 2014 by Hampstead to mark the special relationship between the RMR and Hampstead, both having been created in 1914.
