Westmount, Quebec – 02 September 2019: The RMR Association held yet another successful reunion ‘Smoker’ this past Saturday, with 124 confirmed attendees showing up for the sixth annual event (originally started for the RMR’s centennial in 2014).
Held at the Kahnawake Marina on a beautiful sunny day, the brisk wind kept most folks out of the pool, but also kept the wasps at bay (they had been a menace the prior year). Unfortunately Lech “Comrade Bubbles” Kwasiborski wasn’t on the scene to frighten guests this year, but we still managed to have a good time with a roaring BBQ & charcoal smoker, a great DJ, cash bar, and lots of friends!
Comrade Sue Guerin, the president of Branch 14 (RMR Association) was quite pleased with the turnout, and even happier to announce that five (5) new members have signed up! She had special praise for Captain Vincent and Master-Corporal Jaggi who worked hard to get a large attendance from the serving battalion, which made for an excellent day across multiple generations of RMR’s.
