RIP: LCol (ret’d) Arthur Cauty, CD
Westmount, Quebec – 06 December 2021: The RMR Foundation regrets to announce the death of Lieutenant-Colonel (retired) Arthur Cauty, CD. After transferring into the RMR from the Signals Corps in the mid 1960’s, he rose in rank to serve as Commanding Officer of the regiment from 01 July 1970 until 12 November 1972.
His obituary reads:
Passed peacefully on Tuesday November 30, 2021 at age 85. Beloved Husband of the late Claudette (nee Belzil) Cauty. Loving father of Pierre (Karen) of BC. Cherished Grandpapa to Julia and Sara. Brother to Ann Cauty of PEl, and also survived by his nephew Andrew Cauty. Predeceased by his neice Laura Cauty. Art worked for Transport Canada for 38 years and was a LCol in the reserves, serving as the RMR Commander from 1970 to 1972. He and his wife, Claudette Cauty, loved to travel and enjoyed fine food. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 6 at the Pinecrest Visitation Center (2500 Baseline Road) from 10 am until the time of the memorial service to be held in the Pinecrest Chapel at 11 am.
